The title compound, C12H20N2O2, exhibits two crystalline forms ([alpha] monoclinic and [beta] orthorhombic) in which the diazaadamantane skeleton has the same structure but the packing is different. Both are obtained by crystallization in diethyl ether. The monoclinic form has been reported to possess a ferromagnetic transition.
