2N,N')tetraacetato- 4O,O'',O'''',O'''''']gallate(III) trihydrate, Na[Ga(C10H12N2O8)]·3H2O, contains six-coordinate GaIII ions, each of which is bonded to two amino N atoms and four acetate O atoms. No water molecule is bound to the GaIII ion. The structure of the complex is made up of Na+ cations, complex [Ga(edta)]- anions, and three water molecules of crystallization. The Na+ ions have a distorted octahedral O-atom environment.
