The title complex, [La(C6H4NO2)(H2O)7](C10H6O6S2), consists of hepta­aqua­(isonicotinato)­lanthanum(III) cations and 1,5-naphthalene­di­sulfonate dianions. The LaIII atom is nine-coordinate, involving two carboxyl O atoms from one isonicotinate group and seven water mol­ecules. The cations and anions are linked by O—H...O and N—H...O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional supramolecular framework.
