metal-organic compounds
The anion of the title compound, (C11H24O2N4Cl2)2[Cu4OCl10], contains a tetrahedral oxide ion, coordinated to four CuII ions. Each CuII ion is in turn coordinated to three bridging and one terminal Cl ions, giving rise to a symmetrical polynuclear cluster. The cation is a diprotonated tetraamine where the central methylene protons have been displaced by Cl ions.
