(14α,22E)-14-Hydroxyergosta-4,7,22-triene-3,6-dione, C₂₈H₄₀O₃

The rings A, B, C and D in the title compound adopt twist, sofa, chair and twist conformations, respectively. The C17 side chain has an extended conformation. There is an intermolecular hydrogen bond between the O3 carbonyl and the O14 hydroxy groups.
