Benzyllithium tert-Butyl Methyl Etherate

The title compound [Li(MeO^tBu)benzyl], [Li(C₇H₇)(C₅H₁₂O)], forms infinite chains consisting of alternating lithium cations and benzyl anions, each of the latter being η²-coordinated through their C_α and C_ipso atoms to two lithium counterions.
