metal-organic compounds
The structure of the title compound, Cs4[Dy2(C14H18N3O10)2].13H2O, is unlike that of any previously reported Ln-DTPA complex (where DTPA is diethylenetriaminepentaacetato) and crystallizes as a dimer bridged by two carboxylate groups. Each Dy atom is nine-coordinate through three N atoms and five O atoms of the DTPA, and one O atom of the coordinated carboxylate from the other [Dy(DTPA)] unit. The arrangement of the donor atoms around each Dy atom is a tricapped trigonal prism.
