Methyl 7α,12α-Dihydroxy-3α-methacryloylamino-5β-cholan-24-oate

In the title compound, C₂₉H₄₇NO₅, the methacryloylamino group is confirmed to be attached on position 3 of the steroid skeleton of cholic acid methyl ester as a 3α-epimer. The crystal structure of the title compound, recrystallized from acetone, contains two molecules in the asymmetric unit and is stabilized by intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
