Irbesartan [2-butyl-3-{[2'-(2H-tetrazol-5-yl)biphenyl-4-yl]methyl}-1,3-diazaspiro[4.4]non-1-en-4-one, C25H28N6O], a highly selective angiotensin II receptor (AT1) antagonist was found to exist in two distinct crystal forms (A and B). This paper describes the crystal structure of irbesartan form B.
