The title structure consists of discrete [Ni(C13H9ClNS)2] molecules with each Ni atom located on a crystallographic twofold axis. The coordination around Ni is approximately square planar and N-(4-chlorobenzilydene)-2-mercaptoaniline acts as a monoanionic bidentate ligand [IUPAC name: 2-(4-chlorobenzylideneamino)benzenethiolato] coordinating to nickel(II) via the mercapto S and the imino N atoms.
