The ordering of the H atom in a single crystal of lead hydrogen arsenate has been monitored at 2 K steps in the temperature range 280 to 210 K. Single frames of data were collected using the neutron time-of-flight Laue method, with data-collection times of less than 10 min. The results from these limited data sets are shown to be of value in describing the ordering trend in the structure.
