The dynamical scaling assumption is applied to obtain various kinds of kinetic exponents for the droplet or domain growth in systems undergoing phase separation. Kinetic exponents in solids and in viscous liquids are first reviewed. Kinetic exponents both in polymer blend and in nondissipative fluid mixtures are then discussed. The essential differences among various systems are clarified. Some remarks on the relation between the structure function and the pattern of the droplets are also presented.
