organic compounds
Almost planar molecules of the title compound, C5H3NO5, are held together by hydrogen bonds of 2.604 (2) Å, operating between the carboxylate O atoms of adjacent molecules giving rise to centrosymmetric dimers. The interactions between the dimers are much weaker, as indicated by the distances between the nearest atoms belonging to adjacent moieties amounting to ca 3 Å.
