The structures of two energetic biguanidium salts have been determined frow low-temperature X-ray diffraction data collected at 100 K. Biguanidium perchlorate, C2H8N5+.ClO4-, and biguanidium diperchlorate, C2H9N52+.2ClO4-, have structures characterized by twisted cations and extensive hydrogen bonding.
