with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit labelled (A) and (B). In both molecules the phenyl and 3H-1,2-dithiole-3-thione rings are almost perpendicular to each other, the main difference being the position of the ethyl group which lies in the same plane as the heterocyclic ring in (A) but points outwards in (B). The crystal packing is governed by short S
S interactions.
