Lattice-parameter studies on V_0.977Mo_0.023O₂ the vicinity of the semiconductor-to-metal transition

The lattice parameters of V_0.977Mo_0.0230₂ in the vicinity of the semiconductor-to-metal phase transition have been determined with a Bond-type diffractometer. The transition extends over a temperature range of 0.1 K; and the concomitant volume change, 0.142%, is more than three times as large as that of pure VO₂.
