The thermal expansion of nadorite has been studied in the temperature range 295–123 K by determining the variations of the lattice parameters on an automated Philips PW 1100 single-crystal diffractometer. The elements of the thermal-expansion tensor at 295 K are: αa = 16 (2), αb = 17 (1) and αc = 49 (6) x 10−6 K−1. The difference in magnitude of the thermal expansion coefficients can be attributed to the different binding strengths along the crystallographic axes.
