A geometric method for constructing computer-generated transmission electron diffraction patterns is described. The program is written in Fortran for any crystal system and considers the variables: electron beam and reciprocal lattice (R.L.) spike orientation, spike length and crystal rotation. Plots can be superimposed to study epitaxy, general matrix/second phase relationships and R.L. spike shape effects.
