Measurement of specimen tilt and beam tilt in the Bond method

A procedure for measuring the specimen and the beam tilt in the Bond method of lattice-parameter measurement is given. The procedure is based on measuring the position of the diffracted X-ray beam in the direction perpendicular to the measuring circle. The previously unknown error due to the combined effect of specimen and beam tilt can be evaluated or eliminated.
