Nickel Bistrifluorostannate(II) Hexahydrate, [Ni(H₂O)₆](SnF₃)₂

The structure of Ni(SnF₃)₂.6H₂O contains discrete trigonal pyramidal [SnF₃]^- complex anions and [Ni(H₂O)₆]²⁺ complex cations in a 2:1 ratio. The structure is unusual in that it shows no evidence of the polymeric bridging common in stannous fluorides.
