Triclinic Mg₂B₂O₅

The structure of Mg₂B₂O₅ is based on Mg₄O₁₈ tetramers, composed of four octahedra linked by three shared edges, which are connected by the sharing of four O...O edges to form chains extending along (001). The B atoms hold the chains together and form B₂O₅ groups.
