Pentasodium Bis[dihydroxytetraoxotellurium(VI)]gold(III) Hexadecahydrate

The title compound, Na₅[Au{TeO₄(OH)₂}₂].16H₂O, contains discrete centrosymmetric [Au{TeO₄(OH)₂}₂]^5- anions in which the hydroxy H atoms have been located. The Te-O distances are 1.971 (4) and 1.966 (4) Å for the bridging oxo ligands, 1.850 (4) and 1.861 (4) Å for the terminal oxo ligands, and 1.992 (4) and 1.978 (4) Å for the hydroxy ligands.
