The crystal structure of the title compound consists of molecules of [InCl4{(NH2CH2CH2)C4H10N2}] held together in buckled sheets by a network of hydrogen bonds. The indium has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry with the N-(2-aminoethyl)piperazinium cation behaving as a bidentate ligand.
