(8R,8aS)-Indolizidine-1-spiro-2'-(1',3'-dithiane)-8-carbonitrile

The title compound, C₁₂H₁₈N₂S₂, is an indolizidine whose structure was unequivocably determined by X-ray diffraction. The indolizidine ring adopts a trans-fused envelope-chair conformation while the dithiane ring adopts a chair conformation distal to the nitrile moiety.
