Absolute Configuration of (S)-(+)-[(Benzyloxymethyl)(tert-butyl)methylsilyl] Methyl Ketone

The absolute configuration of the title compound was confirmed by an X-ray crystal structure analysis of (R)-(+)-[(benzyloxymethyl)(tert-butyl)methylsilyl] methyl ketone 2,4,6-triisopropylphenylsulfonylhydrazone, C₃₀H₄₈N₂O₃SSi, reported herein. The asymmetric unit of the hydrazone contains two molecules which are linked by intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
