Abstract: The non-H atoms in the title compound, C17H13N3O3, are almost coplanar, a conformation stabilized by intramolecular N-H...O and C-H...O interactions. A supramolecular chain mediated by C-H...O interactions is found in the crystal structure and these pack side-by-side into layers. The layers are consolidated into the crystal structure by further C-H...O and C-H...N interactions.
