Abstract: The title compound, [Cu2(C14H8O3)2(C3H4N2)2(H2O)2]·CH4O, consists of oxo-bridged dinuclear complex molecules together with methanol solvent molecules. The dimers have twofold rotation symmetry. Cu has square-pyramidal coordination, with water in the apical site. The methanol molecule is disordered over a twofold rotation axis.
