A new polymorph of fac-tris(4,6-dimethylpyrimidine-2-thiolato-²N,S)cobalt(III) monohydrate

Abstract: A new polymorph of the title compound, [Co(C₆H₇N₂S)₃]·H₂O, was obtained by slow evaporation of the compound from tetrahydrofuran. The structure is almost exactly the same as that of the first polymorph [Seth (1994). Acta Cryst. C50, 1196-1199]. The packing arrangement and position of the water molecule differ in the two forms.
