Bis[-1-(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)ethanolato-O:O]bis(dimethylaluminium)

Abstract: The title compound, [{Al(CH₃)₂}₂(C₁₂H₁₈O)₂], formed by the Me₃Al-mediated alkylation of mesitylaldehyde, is dimeric in the solid state, with a central Al₂O₂ planar ring core residing on an inversion centre.
