Abstract: In the title mononuclear complex, [Co(C₈H₇O₂)₂(C₇H₆N₂)₂], the Co^II atom is coordinated by four carboxylate O atoms from two 4-methylbenzoate ligands and two N atoms from two benzimidazole ligands in an octahedral coordination geometry. The molecules are assembled via intermolecular N-HO hydrogen-bonding interactions into a three-dimensional network.
