2,3-Dimethylquinoxalinediium hexabromidostannate(IV) trihydrate

Abstract: In the title compound, (C₁₀H₁₂N₂)[SnBr₆]·3H₂O, the asymmetric unit contains one cation, one anion and three water molecules, and the Sn atom has a distorted octahedral environment. In the crystal structure, intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds and BrBr interactions [BrBr = 3.6726 (19), 3.6913 (18) and 3.6517 (21) Å] lead to the formation of a supramolecular architecture.
