Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, (C5H7N2)2[CoCl4], the CoII ion is coordinated by four chloride ions. The Co atom lies on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis. The structure is stabilized by an extensive network of N-H...Cl hydrogen bonds.
