Abstract: The molecular structure of the title compound, (C₂₁H₁₇N₈)₂[Ni(CN)₄], consists of two organic cations, C₂₁H₁₇N₈⁺ or [MTIT]⁺, and a centrosymmetric inorganic dianion, [Ni(CN)₄]^2-. In the crystal structure, the ions stack along the b axis and are connected by a number of C-HN hydrogen bonds.
