Abstract: The non-planar title molecule, C₁₅H₁₀Cl₂O, contains two benzene rings linked by a -CH=CH-C(=O)- bridge. In the crystal structure, the molecules are paired through [pi] - [pi] interactions and the pairs are connected to each other via hydrogen-bonding interactions.
