Geometric distortion corrections for fiber-optic tapers in X-ray charge-coupled-device detectors

Abstract: A simple algorithm is proposed for quantifying and correcting geometric distortions introduced by fiber-optic tapers in an X-ray charge-coupled-device detector with direct taper coupling.
